Prix Foy winner and Arc-sixth DSCHINGIS SECRET delivered yet another strong performance in today's €155,000 Pastorius-Großer Preis von Bayern at Group 1 level. Racing in Horst Pudwill's silks the best active progeny of our champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW and top-mare DIVYA was a little at odds with Munich's left-handed course but ran a gutsy race nevertheless and impressed with an explosive finish in a tight four-horse fight to the wire.
Adrie de Vries had the Markus Klug-trained colt settle midfield for much of the race and opted for a mid lane entering the final stretch where Dschingis Secret took off really well. After 2400 m at the wire, there was only half a length between the bay colt and the winner. Chances are Dschingis Secret will be entering into a break over the winter to recuberate and start fresh for a 2018 campaign. |
